The China-based mobile phone company launched their flagship devices Meizu M5 and Meizu Pro 6 Plus last November 2016. The phones were only sold within China, but recently the company announced its availability in Russia.

Meizu Russia announced that pre-orders for the smartphones can be availed already. The variants offered are the Meizu M5 16/32 GB in black colour and the Meizu Pro 6 Plus 64GB in dark gray. Tracking numbers will be provided via SMS or email, so that consumers will keep tabs on the whereabouts of the ordered smartphones.

For pickups, buyers may prefer to personally get the units on Meizu's Moscow office. The phones will be available for display and testing as well. Another sales office in St. Petersburg will also cater the distribution of the units soon.

Though the current available Pro 6 variant only has 64GB capacity, a 128GB variant may come to the stores soon. Pre-orders before Feb. 1 will also receive a free Hi-Fi Meizu headphones, and a paid pre-order before Feb. 1 will receive a Bluetooth stereo headset as an add-on.

The shipping of phones to Russia started already, so that they can be ready for distribution starting February.

Meizu M5 will have a 5.2 inch IPS LCD screen, a Mediatek MT6750 Octa-core chipset running Mali-T860MP2, a 16GB ROM, 2GB RAM or 32GB ROM, 3GB RAM variant both expandable up to 256 GB via microSD, 13MP phase detection autofocus with dual-tone flash primary/5MP secondary, a fingerprint sensor, and runs in dual standby LTE.

On the other hand, the Meizu Pro 6 Plus packs a 5.7 inch Super AMOLED screen with 3D Touch, Exynos 8890 Octa-core processor, 64/128GB internal storage both with 4GB RAM, 12MP phase detection and laser autofocus primary camera/5MP secondary, a fingerprint sensor, and runs in dual standby LTE.

Both models runs in out-of-the-box Android Marshmallow, possibly upgradable to Nougat soon. Though the sales are currently for China and Russia, it can be expected that the smartphone be available to other countries as well soon.
