Rockstar Games is yet to announce a solid release date for "Red Dead Redemption 2", which at this point, is slated in fall 2017 launch window. However, a new leak courtesy of a latest game listing by a UK retailer has given an exact date on when the sequel to the popular open world western action-adventure game will arrive on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Game retailer in UK, Base, has apparently posted a listing of "Red Dead Redemption 2" on its website for pre-order. But what's more interesting is that the said post indicated a concrete release date of the game. It indicated a September 26, 2017 launch.

The said date apparently falls within the gamé's fall launch window, which could be an accurate information, given that it's a Tuesday wherein video games are traditionally launched in the US.. The UK retailer has provided a placeholder date for "Days Gone" and "Crackdown 3" on December 31, contrary to the specific release date for "Red Dead Redemption 2".

As of this time, the listing on the said website is still up without being taken down, similar to other accidental leaks reported online. It also suggests the game's price at $55.93 or £44.85. It is noted, however, that Rockstar Games has not yet commented regarding this recent development.

Meanwhile, there's not much official details revealed on what gamers can expect from "Red Dead Redemption 2" but according to leaks, the second title to the game series will share similar features with another Rockstar hit, "GTA 5".

A notable and prolific tipster claimed that the sequel will be just like the first title, with single-player story, open world, gangs and the like. It will also feature three playable characters from John Marston's old gang but John will not be playable, NDTV recalled from a leak late last year.

The source went on to reveal that the online mode for "Red Dead Redemption 2" will follow post its launch as what had happened for "GTA 5". This is pretty much the case, knowing that if it becomes available on launch day, the servers will crash as no players would want to play single-player.
