Fans already know that "Kingdom Hearts 3" is under development for Xbox One and PS4 gaming consoles but that could entirely change. Now, that Nintendo Switch has remarkably made a huge market share, Square Enix is considering more console options for its upcoming games.

The hype surrounding the release of "Kingdom Hearts 3" would definitely make every Nintendo Switch owner to also get a hold of the immensely popular RPG series from Square Enix. If this becomes a reality, it will be first for any KH game to arrive on a Nintendo console.

The latest development that has been circulating on the net is that the game developer is looking into this big opportunity.  In his latest interview with Nikkei, as reported by My Nintendo News, the company's CEO Yosuke Matsuda talked about releasing its line of video games to Nintendo Switch.

Matsuda further commented that having more console options sounds lucrative for video game companies like Square Enix. A long and huge production involved in the development of "Kingdom Hearts 3" would somehow entail the idea to expand the release of the game to a widely popular console like Switch.

While it comes easy for fans to visualize the release of "Kingdom Hearts 3" Nintendo Switch version, there is a hardware limitation that could get in the way of it. There's no doubt that the next entry to the KH series will look stellar on PS4 and Xbox One.

The same gaming experience won't match up for Nintendo's console, however, which has lesser capabilities than the current gen consoles from Sony and Microsoft. It could mean poor graphics, lags and other issues.

There are other video games from the acclaimed Japanese studio that are already confirmed coming to the hybrid console. The current list includes "Dragon Quest Heroes" and "I am Setsuna".

As of now, Square Enix remains mum on the release date of "Kingdom Hearts 3" since the game's official announcement at E3 2015. Speculations are rife that an official reveal will yet to take place at D23 Expo in Japan come February 2018.
