Luckily, gaming fans have made their voices heard by stating some top ten characters they wanted to see in the new "Spider-Man" video game title and these include the likes of Kingpin, Shocker, Rhino, Mysterio, The Vulture, Electro, Sandman, Doctor Octopus, Venom and Green Goblin, WhatCulture reported.

As of now, Mister Negative is the only villain hinted in the new "Spider-Man" game due to the distinct mask the criminals wear during the game's first trailer last year.

There is also a debumked rumor about the plot of the "Spider-Man" game suggesting that Peter Parker/Spider-Man will be facing the Green Goblin once again and tries to balance his family life and being a hero.

Many comic book and gaming fans believed that the game has some connection to "The Amazing Spider-Man Renew Your Vows" comic story where in Peter Parker is married to Mary Jane Watson and had a daughter named Annie Parker, who like her dad has spider-like powers.

However, Insomniac Games responded to the rumored plot details of "Spider-Man" and stated that the IMDB page is like "Wikipedia" as anyone can add something into it, and gamers will here the plot of the game from developers themselves, thus hinting that the plot could be fake.

In other news, Marvel’s Digital Media vice president Ryan Penagos teased new gameplay details for "Spider-Man" soon as he tweeted a GIF of the game showcasing some Spider-Man combat.

While not much has been shown in the photo, it is enough for both gaming and Marvel fans to be excited about, now that Marvel will be showing off something new for "Spider-Man" whether it be a gameplay video, a new trailer or an official release date announcement, SegmentNext reported.

Previous reports claim that "Spider-Man" will likely launch within this year, however, Insomniac tweeted that their is no announcement of the release timeframe for "Spider-Man" PS4 meaning their is a chance that the Spidey game could or will not launch this year.

Marvel Games added that the video game titles they are making will not be tied to the films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, thus giving them total control of the story for each game.

Insomniac Games and Marvel has not yet announced a release date of "Spider-Man" for the PS4.
