Cloud Imperium Games has released a new video for its upcoming space simulator, "Star Citizen". It offers fans a peek at the game development and its current state.

The latest video shows the development on the work done on its environment, the shops and the lighting system. And then, it went further into the interaction systems of the game.

 It also explains that the interaction systems in "Star Citizen" are bound by physics, which results to a more real and immersive sense to every object inside the game, Gaming Bolt reported.

Meanwhile, as the game's crowdfunding is now raised over $148 million, the pressing question now is, when will its official release date? According to Niche Gamer, the original release window was set on 2014, and then it was delayed to 2016.

However, it is now almost mid of 2017 and there is still no definite release date for "Star Citizen". But Chris Roberts is completely transparent about the game's development, and a proof of this is the internal development schedule of the game is open in public.

The report also said that Roberts' original crowdfunding campaign goal for the game was just $500,000. But the project became popular and attracted more investors and so, the the scope and budget of the project became bigger.

It seems understandable that until now, there is no release date yet for the project. Dspite of having no release date yet, there is an alpha of the game that is playable for anyone who gives at least a $45 pledge as an investment.

Some detractors of the project have highlighted many issues in the game, however. These include its impossible scale and featuring creep and high-paying celebrity cast for its single player campaign.

Since its original crowfunding, "Star Citizen" is split into three projects: "Star Citizen", "Squadron 42", which stars Mark Hamill, and "Star Marine".
