The latest updates for "Red Dead Redemption 2" will feature a single protagonist and details on the sequels release date.

It seems that new information for "Red Dead Redemption 2's" release date has been revealed as Rockstar Games recently announced that the game will be delayed from its Fall 2017 and will likely launch sometime next year.

Rockstar Games added that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be out until the Spring of 2018 and as a result, this news caused a 9 percent drop in Take Two’s share value, such is the excitement around the title. The game’s release has been narrowed down slightly in Take Two’s financial report for the fiscal year.

However, the company's fiscal year also comes into play, which means that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be released between April 2018 and March 2019. With ‘spring’ still being targeted, it is possible that gamers will see the sequel launch in either April or May, unless it is delayed again, VG 24/7 reported.

In other news, "Red Dead Redemption 2" could likely have one main protagonist based on several game theories.

In all the trailers and artwork so far in "Red Dead Redemption 2," gamers been unable to get a good look at any of the main cast of the sequel, though there is one character that keeps appearing. Dressed in a long duster coat, with a pointed hat that is bound with a rope, the mysterious figure could well be the protagonist. In addition, he tends to be the focus of each shot which many believe implies a lead role.

With that in mind, many believed that it could change the rumored multiple character format in the "Red Dead Redemption 2" similar to "Grand Theft Auto 5," or perhaps this is sort of a teaser for things to come this year.

Hopefully Rockstar Games will not be taking too much inspiration from "Grand Theft Auto 5" when it comes to "Red Dead Redemption 2," as many players have concerns that the company will focus too much on the title’s online multiplayer and neglect the game’s story, Gamerant reported.

"Red Dead Redemption 2" will launch sometime in 2018 for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
