North Korea unveils its new tablet computer with a novel name, "iPad," or "Ryonghung iPad," to be exact. The new device is acclaimed and featured in the latest edition of Foreign Trade magazine of the country.

According to the marketing description of Ryonghung iPad, the new tablet computer comes with a keyboard, and now popular to customers since it can perform several tasks such as documentation, office works, reading different sources of digital information, and can diagnose for up to 1,200 ailments and offer remedies. It has more than 40 applications, a farming program called "Good Doctor 3.0," and certified by the local GMP system.

When it comes to its specifications, the "iPad" was built with a quadcore 1.2 GHZ CPU, it has 1 gigabyte of RAM with 8 GB of internal memory, and the screen size is 8 inches. In addition, the device is also said to have HDMI cable connection, as well as 'network connection' capabilities but users won't be able to access the country's strictly off limits website.

Ryonghung iPad is designed by Myohyang IT Co. in Pyongyang. The device is identical to the Android tablet seen in North Korean electronics stores in 2013, without the obvious Apple's trademark.

North Korea is reportedly stealing the idea of Apple, though this is the first time that the country's tech companies unveiled a device similar to Apple. But a desktop computer similar to Apple iMac was also spotted during a trade fair in Pyongyang couple of years ago.

North Korea also has Apple's OS X dubbed "Red Star 3.0" OS, in which it could operate on Windows version with military-themed wallpapers pre-installed in it. Meanwhile, the operating system of Ryonghung iPad is still unknown.
