New updates for the "Spider-Man" PS4 game will feature a 2018 release date and Miles Morales a possible playable character.

The gameplay trailer opens with Peter Parker/Spider-Man infiltrating an construction site owned by Wilson Fisk/The Kingpin as the building is being targeted by a rival gang calling themselves "The Demons." Spider-Man with the help of Captain Yuri Watanabe was able to fight off the gang and rescue Fisk's men using stealth and impressive web action and traps.

The new "Spider-Man" PS4 game also featured some amazing and fluid combat system using Spider-Man's acrobatic abilities, combining it with web combat and the use of his environment to his advantage rivaling that of the "Batman Arkham" games.

As Spider-Man progresses, Peter discovers that Martin Li a.k.a. Mister Negative is the leader of The Demons and is escaping via helicopter, leaving some serious damage. Viewers quickly see a transition to quick button play as Peter uses his webs to stop falling debree and even stop Lee's helicopter after a grueling chase around New York.

With Peter about to save Lee, the latter chokes him revealing the full extent of is powers. The trailer ends with a surprising appearance by Miles Morales, a.k.a. the soon to be Ultimate Spider-Man, Gamerant Reported.

Insomniac Games explained Miles Morales appearance in the "Spider-Man" PS4 as community director James Stevenson tweeted that the game has to have an end credits, which is a similar practice to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Still, Miles cameo is not out of coincidence as gamers and Marvel fans alike felt that there is more to the character that meets the eye, after all, Miles became Peter's successor as Spider-Man in the Ultimate universe. Perhaps Peter in the game will meet his demise in same way in the Ultimate Marvel comics, or the latter will take Miles as an apprentice of sorts, better yet a possible playable character in the game, Screenrant reported.

Insomniac Games also explained that reason for Spider-Man's white spider emblem in the game as the developers tweeted that it has a purpose. While they remaind silent about, it seems that it might have features similar to the one shown in "Spider-Man: Homecoming" film.

As for the release date, the "Spider-Man" PS4 game will launch sometime in 2018 for the PS4 console.
