Apple will go ahead with the plan to introduce both the iPhone 7S and the iPhone 8 in September but the latter is not seen to materialize until a month after, at the earliest. As rumored, the tech giant is still dealing with supply constraints on the required components and low production yields.

The needed DRAM and NAND chips alone for the next iPhone is causing a global shortage that according to 9to5Mac is also disturbing the manufacturing calendars of companies like Nintendo, LG and Huawei. It appears that component makers have opted to prioritize Apple over other device vendors that forced the latter to either delay their flagship arrivals or alter their original specifications.

The same report indicated Apple is set to mass produce no less than 100 million units of the iPhone 8, and surely the components to be ordered by the tech giant will only put further pressure on the already thinning supply of components.

And it seems inevitable that Apple's release calendar, specifically for the iPhone 8, will see some delays. BGR reported the device is unlikely to arrive on time if a component supplier for the company is to be believed that the earlier availability of the handset will happen October 2017.

The estimate was arrived at basing on the production schedule set by Finisar, a company said to deliver millions of premium laser-related components to Apple. Rumors said the high-tech lasers are intended for the iPhone 8's AR and image recognition capabilities. And the production difficulties connected to the perfecting of the same features will only push back the projected iPhone 8 touchdown.

Per the same report, the all-screen iPhone 8 will not start selling until October this year. This is consistent with the recent forecast issued by the KGI Securities analyst Ming-chi Kuo - that while the 2017 iPhones will get unveiled in September only the iPhone 7S series will immediately hit the market.

Kuo said would-be buyers of the iPhone 8 will have to wait at least a month after the device introduction and most likely will need to pay more. And in order to take home the radically redesigned iPhone 8, Apple fans will have to absorb a cash damage that will start at no less than $1000.
