Huawei Honor 5x was first introduced in China in November 2015, and the company has confirmed at CES 2016 that the phone will soon be available in other countries as well. The smartphone is available for purchase in the United States and will be available soon in European countries.

Huawei Honor 5x smartphone will cost around $200 in the United States, but the price may vary in the European countries. The smartphone that was launched in China is equipped with a 1.5 GHz Snapdragon 615 processor with an Adreno 405 GPU, in which, Huawei Honor 5x may hold either 2 GB or 3GB of RAM.

Things change when the phone is said to come in other parts of the globe, as the company has confirmed on XDA that it is going to put a newer chipset on the device, rather than the older Snapdragon 615 processor. The new version will now hold a newer Octa-core Snapdragon 616 chipset clocked at 1.5GHz. Rest of the parts will remain the same as the only change comes in the processor department.

Meanwhile, specs of the phone is mid-ranged as the Honor 5x has a 5.5 inch full HD IPS LCD display with 1080p resolution.

Camera configuration of Huawei Honor 5X is not substandard as it has a 13-megapixel primary camera with auto focus and dual LED flash. It does a good job in taking good quality images indoor and outdoor. Secondary camera is at 5-megapixel shooter for selfie addicts. In the storage department, the smartphone has 16 GB on board memory, which can be expandable up to 128 GB via an external SD card. The phone also supports 4G LTE, and to sweeten the deal, it has a fingerprint sensor too just like high-end smartphones in the market.     

On other news, the Huawei Honor 5x at the moment comes with an Android Lollipop OS out of the box, but Huawei promised an OTA update to Android Marshmallow right after the launch.
