Love is a magical feeling. Nevertheless, scientists are trying to sort out this magic, find its formula, and explain it from a scientific point of view. And if you don't believe in love, then you must not have visited vipbrides.com yet. It's interesting to find out what this feeling is fraught with from the rational point of view. It is not a secret that a feeling of love causes certain chemical processes in our body. For example, "butterflies in the stomach" is adrenaline, while dopamine is responsible for the feeling of euphoria, and oxytocin is responsible for tenderness and affection. All these substances, according to scientists, act as a drug and even cause psychological dependence. Therefore, when love passes, a person may begin to suffer from withdrawals and get depressed. In addition, hormones reduce critical thinking in relation to the object of love. In other words, we see only the advantages of a loved one and do not notice any flaws at all.

Serotonin is the Enemy of Monogamy

Do you know that serotonin can be a cure for love? Scientists conducted an experiment: they gave mice a loading dose of serotonin. This led to the fact that usually monogamous rodents rejected their regular partners. So, be careful with antidepressants, which also increase serotonin levels.

Sweet Feeling

Have you ever thought about the fact why boyfriends often give sweets and chocolate to girls? It turns out that this innocent, at first glance, tradition has a biological explanation. Chocolate contains substances that help fall in love. Scientists have established that sweet tooth fall in love more often than those who are on a diet.

Love Lives Three Years

This famous statement has a scientific rationale. The active production of love hormones lasts from 18 months to three years. This is the so-called "honeymoon phase." Hormones create a positive attitude and smooth things over in relationships. Such a system was designed by nature so that a man would not abandon a woman and help take care of joint offspring at least in the first years. It turns out that three years of love is such a natural "maternity leave."

This does not mean that love passes in three years, and you should break up. People just take off their rose-colored glasses and begin to perceive each other more adequately. Sometimes this tipping point is accompanied by quarrels and in some cases really leads to a breakup. However, often people successfully overcome problems and move to a new level: their relationships become more balanced and no less tender.

Stress is not an obstacle for love

When you read about the war or other difficult periods of history, you are surprised that, despite all the horror of what is happening, people loved and fell in love. It turns out that extreme situations do not contradict love, but they can even provoke it. After all, the stress hormone, adrenaline is responsible for love. So, if you meet a suitable person in a difficult situation, you can easily fall in love with them.

Scientists conducted a fun experiment. A pretty girl gave different men her phone number. Only men who had experienced a stressful situation called her back.

Love Is a Magical Feeling

Scientists studying the mechanisms of depression and elation have recently made significant discoveries concerning chemical compounds in the human brain, called neurotransmitters. The progenitor of all neurotransmitters, the one that makes men and women go crazy with love, can be considered a substance called phenylethylamine, or just PEA. The mechanism of the PEA effect is as follows: the human brain is divided into separate sections, and in general, its size resembles a large grapefruit, but when a person falls in love, their brain shrinks up to the size of a pea. The first of the sections is exactly above the spinal cord and is responsible for such instincts as a survival instinct, territory defense instinct, etc., these are the most important instincts of human life. The next section, the limbic system, controls such emotions as anger, depression, hatred as well as peace, satisfaction, love. The third section, the cortex, is responsible for our thought processes.
