Apple has released the seventh developer beta for the macOS Sierra, along with the macOS Sierra Public Beta 6, for early adopters of the new version of the Mac operating system first shown off at this year's WWDC 2016.

The release follows in the footsteps of the seventh iOS developer beta, which arrived on Friday.  Other Apple OS like the macOS, watchOS, or tvOS have not received their updates yet.

This time, macOS Sierra promises some interesting updates that many cannot wait to get their hands on. For example, one of the most promising changes is that Siri is coming to the Mac for the first time. The virtual assistant can replace many of Spotlight's features - like helping to find a file or searching through photos. Interestingly, it can also help in interacting with your Mac, like turning on or off your Wi-Fi, start FaceTime calls, set reminders, or adjust your volume.

The Photos app has also been redone with new features that take advantage of computer vision to recognize the people, places and things in an album, then organize them into intelligent collections, much like what Google already does. It also curates your past photos into collections via a new tab called "Memories."

The link or continuity between Mac and iOS is a big deal for those caught in Apple's robust ecosystem. Ever since its introduction, users have been able to pick up calls and text conversations from their phones and conveniently pull them up on their Mac computers.

A nifty new feature called Auto Unlock is also gaining popularity. As the title implies, this new feature will let you unlock your Mac from other Apple devices merely by being in proximity to an Apple Watch or iOS device.
