The Roku Ultra is equipped with many features which are exclusive to the model. The streaming devices allows for voice search as well as searching for a lost remote. Ultra also offers support for Dolby Digital Plus decoding. This top model in the lineup lets users expand their storage using microSD cards. It also offers personal playback function using an USB along with an optical jack for external home audio.

Other devices included in the lineup are the Roku Express, the Roku Express+, the Roku Premiere, and the Roku Premiere+. The Roku Express is an entry-level gadget and is priced lower than its competitors Google Chromecast and Amazon's Streaming Stick. Chromecast is priced at $35 while Amazon Stick retails at $40. However, the Roku Express does not offer support for 4K. There is an option of combining Express with composite cables.

The Roku Express+ is mainly intended for TVs which are not HDMI compatible. Priced at $50, Express+ is good for alternative screens such as in-car entertainment. According to USA Today, Roku Premiere offers 4K support at $80, while The Roku Premiere+ adds on an Ethernet jack and HDR playback. The Premiere+ is priced at $100 apiece.

These devices will hit the market in October. However, Best Buy is currently offering pre-order for all the devices except the Roku Express+.
