Data about the conversations, interactions, and hundreds and thousands of posts that were generated on the social media platform during the US election reveals that 289 million people around the world were engaged with the topic.
Users worldwide generated a tremendous amount of buzz and about 10 billion likes, posts, comments and shares between 23 March 2015, and 1 November 2016 (Note: 23 March is the day Republican Ted Cruz declared his nomination for president, becoming the first candidate to do so).
India too is overly excited about the polls generating over 40 million likes, posts, comments and shares and about 40,284,000 conversations.
Over 9.3 million Indians across the country that are on Facebook are engaging with the topic of the US election, giving their feedback on who should become the President - Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump.
