It seems that the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS update led to more modifications for Verizon's Moto X 2014.

According to The Latin Post, the recent Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS update has been rolling out to Motorola devices such as the 2015 Moto X Pure Edition as well as the third generation Moto G.
However, for those that owned and bought the previous versions such as the second-generation Moto X 2014 on Verizon, there is more to be done. It was noted that a standard two-year firmware update support made these flagship smartphones to be a bit behind.

The post further relayed how whether having its original version or the unlocked editions of the Moto X 2014, the need to update made it vital that eventual Android M upgrade should be applicable for the Moto X devices.

However, Motorola remains silent and did not render any given update or support for the carrier-locked versions despite the devices being less than two years old. Moreover, ironic as it may seem, the recent scenario revealed that it's a very consumer-unfriendly decision.  At the same time rendered a surprising insight for all Motorola users.
Meanwhile, this move led to the risk of placing a bad reputation for Motorola since its second hand generation devices could not match up not fit the latest Android OS updates and the worst case scenario, the updates would mean nothing and thus useless for these consumers.

In addition, Android Authority reported that Android 6.0 Marshmallow is finally here, and most Android fans wondered if their phones are able to cater the latest update. More or less wonder if their phone makers are doing the best that they can to make their devices updated as well.

It is for a fact that the process of updating devices and its software is a lengthy and unclear one. For some, it's worst even since many models would not have the technology to match up the recent Android 6.0 Marshmallow update.

It stands out that the recent update was released last December 18 to cater for devices such as G4, Nvidia K1 Tablet, Moto X (2014), HTC One M9, and more new info for Lenovo devices were integrated as well.
