The LYF Water 9 4G smartphone has been officially launched in India.
The LYF Water 9 is priced at $125.81 (approximately Rs. 8499). It has a 5.5-inch full high-definition display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is protected by 2.5D Dragontrail glass.
The LYF Water 9 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6753 chipset clocked at a speed of 1.3 GHz. It runs on the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system out of the box. It comes with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of built-in storage that can be further extended via microSD card slot.
The LYF Water 9 features a 13-megapixel camera at the back with dual LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for better selfies and video chats. It is packed with a 2800 mAh non-removable battery. Indian smartphone company LYF claims that it can give 10 hours of talk time and last up to 115 hours on standby mode.
The LYF Water 9 is a dual SIM dual standby device and supports 850 / 1800 / 2300MHz 4G bands. Other connectivity options are 4G, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and MicroUSB 2.0 port.
The LYF Water 9 has a fingerprint scanner that can also be used to create shortcuts for opening a maximum of three apps with three different fingers. It also supports onscreen gestures.
The LYF Water 9 measures 153.5 x 77.8 x 7.9 mm in dimension with a weight of 168 grams.
