The LYF F8 smartphone has been released in India.
The LYF F8 has been listed on the official page of the Indian smartphone company LYF with a price tag of $61.92 (around Rs. 4199). It is an upgraded version of the LYF Flame 8 smartphone with a compact frame and Asahi Glass coating.
The LYF F8 has a 4.5-inch IPS FWVGA display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels, a pixel density of 218 ppi, and 16M colors. It is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 210 chipset clocked at a speed of 1.3 GHz and coupled with Adreno 304 Graphics on top.
The LYF F8 runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system out of the box. It comes with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage which can be further extended up to a maximum of 128 GB via a microSD card slot.
The LYF F8 features an 8-megapixel autofocus camera at the back with LED flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It is capable of recording videos up to 720p at 30 frames per second. Other camera features are the smile detection, panorama, red eye reduction, gaze detection, continuous autofocus, and blink detection.
The LYF F8 supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE which has network speeds up to 150Mps of downlink and 50Mbps of uplink. It utilizes gesture control to launch camera, music player, and access applications from the locked screen. It also supports USB OTG (on-the-go) to transfer files from a pen drive such as movies, photos, and music files.
The LYF F8 measures 132.6 x 66.2 x 9.3 mm in dimension with a weight of around 138 grams. It is packed with a 2000 mAh capacity battery to deliver up to 8 hours of talk time, 160 hours of standby time, 5 hours of high-definition video playback, and 28 hours of audio playback.
