Vivo V5 and Vivo V5 Plus Smartphones With 20MP Front Camera and Moonlight Flash Released in India

The Vivo V5 and Vivo V5 Plus smartphones have been released in India.

The Vivo V5 and Vivo V5 Plus have the similar design sporting metal built unibody. They run on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow based FunTouch OS 2.6 out of the box.

The Vivo V5 is the successor to the popular Vivo V3 that was launched in the first half of this year. It comes with a 20-megapixel selfie camera with moonlight flash that works similar to the retina flash. It has a 5.5-inch high-definition display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.

The Vivo V5 is the first smartphone from the Chinese mobile company Vivo to make its global debut in India. It is powered by an octa-core 64-bit Snapdragon 652 chipset clocked at a speed of 1.8 GHz. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which is expandable up to a maximum of 128GB via microSD card slot.

The Vivo V5 is a dual SIM dual standby smartphone with FDD-LTE and TD-LTE bands support. It is equipped with a fingerprint scanner on the physical home button on the front. It is packed with a 3000 mAh non-removable battery that provides a decent battery life.

The Vivo V5 also features Hi-Fi audio output supported by the AK4376 chip. It measures 153.8 x 75.5 x 7.55 mm with the weight of 154 grams. Other connectivity options are 4G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, and GLONASS.

The Vivo V5 is available in gold and rose gold colors with the price tag under $294.96 (around Rs. 20,000). Sensors include light, e-compass, proximity, and accelerometer.

The Vivo V5 Plus is the successor to the Vivo V3 Max instead of the Vivo V5 Max and features the same 20-megapixel sensor on the front. It might come with a slightly bigger battery with better resolution. There has been no announcement about the price of the device and when it could hit the market.
