Cortana, a voice-based assistant that helps users virtually designed and owned by Microsoft, is now successfully running on Android and iOS platforms. Cortana is now shifting its presence in Cyanogen OS v 12.1.1. The operating system version will begin to run out in One Plus One smart phones. Also, the integration seems to be way better than what was promised for both Android and iOS versions.

According to reports posted by various users, the Cyanogen OS update comes along with build number 12.1-YOG7DAS2K1. There is no ROM build that has been available. As for now, users of One Plus One received Cortana update and there is no clarification if other users also hold chances to gain access to same features.

One Plus One users who have Cortana installed can simply launch it by just telling out a voice message as "Hey Cortana." The voice instruction can be transferred by staying on any screen on handset. Using Cortana, users also get a chance to change any kind of settings in phone such as switching to silent mode or even change networks. Yet another added benefit for One Plus One users is that they get an option for hot word detection along with toggle settings, which is currently not possible for Android or iOS users.

Microsoft announced that Cortana will be available for OS devices of Cyanogen, along with an announcement that the same option will be available for Android and iOS users too in selected regions. The previous year, Microsoft also made an announcement that it will be bringing Cortana to devices that runs on Android and iOS platforms.

The public beta version of Android was released in August 2015 and limited beta for iOS version came out last month. Both these versions have passed the testing stage, although the version is now currently available only to users in America and China.
