The Vivo XPlay 6 smartphone has been unveiled in China.
The Vivo XPlay 6 sports an all metal body with curved antenna design and rounded corners. It is the most powerful smartphone among the Vivo X9 and X9 Plus smartphones. It has a 5.46-inch dual curved Super AMOLED display with a quad high-definition resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, a pixel density of 538 ppi, 16.7M colors, 72.6 percent screen-to-body ratio, and Corning Gorilla Glass with 3D arc glass design.
The Vivo XPlay 6 is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 821 chipset clocked at a speed of 2.15 GHz and coupled with the Adreno 530 GPU. It comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage without expandable storage option.
The Vivo XPlay 6 runs on the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow based FunTouch 3.0 operating system with a customized user interface. It is packed with a 4080 mAh non-removable battery with a rapid charging system that can deliver up to 18 hours of talk time, 70 hours of music play, and 390 hours of standby.
The Vivo XPlay 6 features a 12-megapixel with a Sony IMX362 sensor, 4-axis optical image stabilization, and an aperture of f/1.7 as well as 5-megapixel sensors to achieve a depth-of-field effect placed on the rear. It also sports a 16-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video chats.
The Vivo XPlay 6 offers good audio output with one ES9038 and three OPA1622 dedicated Hi-Fi Chips. It sports a home button that is integrated with a fingerprint scanner. Other connectivity options are GLONASS, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual band, microUSB 2.0, and OTG (on-the-go).
The Vivo XPlay 6 measures just 5.2mm thick and will be available in gold and rose gold color. It costs $651.93 and will be sold online and offline starting on Dec. 12.
