Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus has confirmed that it would roll out the Android 7.0 Nougat upgrade for the OnePlus 3T smartphone by December. An early build will be released for OnePlus 3 models before the end of November, but OnePlus noted that the final build would roll out in December.

OnePlus is yet to confirm whether the company plans to roll out the Android 7.0 Nougat upgrade to the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T at the same time.

The Android Nougat update will be delivered via over-the-air, according to Gizmodo. The update promises new features, as well as upgraded security features for the Android platform. So far, only a handful of Android devices run on the new Nougat build. Most notable of these devices are the flagship smartphones from Google which are the Google Pixel and the Google Pixel XL.

On the other hand, OnePlus said that only the OnePlus 3 model would be eligible for the Android Nougat beta program. This means that OnePlus 3T owners will not receive the early build update of the operating system.

Another important thing to point out is that the OnePlus 3 will no longer be available in the U.S. and European market for reasons undisclosed by the company, according to Softpedia. This means that once current stocks have run out, OnePlus will no longer supply new stocks to these two markets.

The OnePlus 3T is slated to hit the U.S. market on Nov. 22. The smartphone is available in two variants, the model with 64GB of storage space costs $439, while the one with 128GB of storage space costs $479.
