Less than a month ago, HTC launched the HTC Bolt exclusively for the United States network provider Sprint. Recently, it was revealed that the Bolt is not entirely an exclusive device for Sprint as HTC announced that that the phone will be making its way into Europe. However, it will not be sold as HTC Bolt, but as the HTC 10 Evo.

Branded as a mid-ranged device, the HTC 10 Evo sits in between the HTC One A9 and the HTC 10. It is an interesting, and affordable alternative for premium-tiered flagship devices.

Compared to the HTC One A9, the HTC 10 Evo is a lot better. The Evo boasts of an IP57 dust and waterproofing certification. It has a 16-megapixel rear facing the main camera and an 8-megapixel front facing shooter with panoramic selfie mode. Furthermore, the HTC 10 Evo runs on Android 7.0 Nougat right out of the box while the HTC 10 has yet to receive the latest mobile upgrade, Engadget reported.

Many would say the HTC 10 Evo is a sub-flagship device. However, the device can stand on its own when pitted against most of its competitors in the same pricing range. The phone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset with an octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz. It comes with a 3GB of memory, and a 32GB storage space which can be expanded using microSDXC cards, BGR reported. It has a fingerprint sensor and a massive 3200mAh battery pack, which will most likely support Qualcomm's fast charging technology.

The HTC 10 Evo has a 5.5-inch display with Quad HD resolution. In terms of design, the phone does not have a curved design which the HTC 10 has, the similarity this is because a larger chassis was needed into order to make space for the larger display.

HTC has yet to confirm whether the HTC Bolt or HTC 10 Evo will be released to other markets as well.
