The upgraded ZTE Axon 7 smartphone has been introduced in the U.S. at a price tag of $499 (around Rs. 34,000).
The ZTE Axon 7 was launched in China in the first half of this year. A 4GB variant of the device was released in the U.S. priced at $399 (approximately Rs. 27,200). Now, a 6GB variant is on sale through the official website of the Chinese mobile manufacturer ZTE.
The 6GB RAM ZTE Axon 7 comes with a design that looks completely same as the 4GB RAM variant. It has a 5.5-inch quad high-definition AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. It supports Force Touch that works similar to the 3D Touch on the new iPhones.
The ZTE Axon 7 is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 instead of the last gen Gorilla Glass 4. It has 128GB of built-in storage that can be further extended with the use of microSD card slot. It is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 820 chipset coupled with Adreno 530 graphics processing unit.
The ZTE Axon 7 runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system based MiFavor UI 4.0 out of the box. It also offers Hi-Fi audio output with the dedicated AK4961 and AK4490 audio chips and front-facing stereo speakers.
The ZTE Axon 7 features a 20-megapixel camera at the back with an aperture of f/1.8, phase detection autofocus, optical image stabilization, and electronic image stabilization. It also comes with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with an aperture of f/1.8. It can also record videos in full high-definition resolution.
The ZTE Axon 7 supports dual SIM dual standby with the help of hybrid SIM slot that can opt for either a secondary SIM or a microSD card. It is packed with a 3250 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging support.
