Rumors have started circulating on Apple's plan for its next flagship smartphone, which on release date this 2016 will likely take the name iPhone 7. One artist took the liberty of pooling together the speculations so far on the next iPhone and came up with a render that is sexy, solid and power rolled into one.

Device concept maker Arthur Reis visualized the next iPhone via Behance as a huge step up from the iPhone 6S inside and out though his creation still carries the features rumored up for retirement - the iconic Home button and the 3.5mm headphone jack. Reis imagined an iPhone 7 that is gorgeous, sturdy and mightier than ever.

Cutting-edge design

The next iPhone, in Reis' eyes, will boast of a rock-solid stainless steel frame that is nearly indestructible and dent-free throughout its lifecycle. The screen profile remains the same - 4.7-inch for the regular iPhone 7 and 5.5-inch for the iPhone 7 Plus but the design author promises a slightly smaller footprint.

The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus will have their width and height shaved off and as a result, users will enjoy better grip of the device, suggesting too that it will only be slippery when wet.

New level of durability

If the iPhone 6S showed off small amount of water resistance, the same protective feature will be fully enjoyed in the iPhone 7. Melded with the next iPhone's robust metal body material is sapphire screen display that can both withstand the onslaught of scratch and most fall impacts.

The iPhone 7 will likely die out still immaculately clean - virtually no scratches - and not damaged by water intrusion, Reis said.

Upscale hardware

The next iPhone will be glorious with an AMOLED display technology that renders in 1080p screen resolution for the regular version and with up to 16 hours of battery life in a single charge. The main engine is an A10 processing chip that delivers fourfold improvement of CPU and GPU might.

The rear shooter is equipped with f/2.0 aperture that Reis said will ensure the production of top-quality images and clips even in low-light environment.

The iPhone 7 release date, if Apple should follow its usual product rollout cycle, is anticipated to take place in the third quarter of 2016 or September at the earliest though a new 4-inch build could come out this April that likely will be labelled as iPhone 5E.
