Samsung may have started its smartphone business by copying Apple, but now it seems that the company has started finding its path. In recent years, the features of Samsung smartphones have astonished customers as they are unique to the brand.
According to BGR, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 might have exciting new features that customers have not seen on an iPhone. Samsung is expected to launch a few flagship smartphones in the first half of 2017.
There is no doubt that the upcoming phones by Samsung would be powerful and energy efficient. There are rumors that the Galaxy S8 will have a nifty feature named Continuum. This feature will allow the windows phone to have a desktop experience by connecting to a dock.
Galaxy S8 owners will enjoy a device which is capable of supporting both the mobile and desktop computing experience. Microsoft did a similar thing by adding Microsoft Continuum to allow Windows 10 mobile handsets to drive a mouse, keyboard, and monitor.
While using a portable device, the Windows 10 desktop experience can be replicated. There is no need for a laptop. One only needs a mouse, keyboard, and HDMI cable to attach to the screen, Forbes reported.
Introducing a desktop style software on a smartphone is not a new thing for Samsung. The company has experience with Android devices with large screens in the form of Galaxy Tab Pro and Note Pro Tablets. In fact, Samsung wishes to keep its flagship smartphones at the forefront of new technology.
Introducing Continuum on the Galaxy S8 will promote this flagship device as an enterprise device. Since the Galaxy Note 7 no longer exists in its portfolio, Samsung is trying to maintain its presence as a supplier of quality business devices.
