The red color variant of OPPO R9s smartphone has been officially announced in China for $403 (around Rs. 27,500 or 2799 yuan).
This new red colored variant of the OPPO R9s comes with the signature of the Chinese actress and singer Yang Mi engraved on the rear. The body comes in thick red color, and the front panel is black along with the fingerprint scanner.
The customized edition of the OPPO R9s sports exclusive postcards, back case, notebook, and few other accessories. It is the successor to the popular OPPO R9 smartphone. It has a 5.5-inch full high-definition AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Under the hood, the red color OPPO R9s is powered by an octa-core 64-bit Snapdragon 625 chipset clocked at a speed of 2.0 GHz and coupled with Adreno 506 graphics processing unit. It runs on the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system out of the box.
The red color OPPO R9s comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in memory that can be further extended via a microSD card slot. It features a 16-megapixel camera at the back with an aperture of f/2.0, and dual tone LED flash. It also carries another 16-megapixel front-facing IMX398 camera with an aperture of f/1.7 and the latest optical image stabilization (OIS+).
The red color OPPO R9s is packed with a smaller 3010 mAh battery that supports patented VOOC Flash Charge technology and gives two hours of talk time after five minutes of charging. It comes with a refreshed design and thinner Antenna bands replacing the thicker single Antenna bands on top and bottom.
The red color OPPO R9s measures 153 x 74.3 x 6.58 mm in dimension with a weight of 145 grams. It sports a fingerprint scanner located below the display inside the home button.
