The Xolo Era 2X smartphone has been introduced in India.
The Xolo Era 2X is the latest entry-level smartphone from the India mobile company Xolo. It is the successor to the Xolo Era X which was launched last year. It comes with a polycarbonate shell and a fingerprint scanner. The other specifications of the smartphone are the same as the Era X.
The Xolo Era 2X has a 5-inch high-definition On-Cell IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. However, it lacks Gorilla Glass protection.
The Xolo Era X is powered by a quad-core 64-bit MediaTek MT6737 chipset clocked at a speed of 1.25 GHz and coupled with the Mali T720 graphics processing unit. It runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system out of the box.
The Xolo Era 2X comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage that can be further extended up to a maximum of 32GB via a microSD card slot. It features an 8-megapixel camera at the back with LED flash accompanied with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies.
The Xolo Era 2X is packed with a 2500 mAh battery that might not last more than a day of usage. It is also equipped with the volume rocker and power button on the right edge. It sports pre-installed Jio apps with the free Jio 4G SIM and the Jio Suite of apps for free until the end of this year.
The Xolo Era 2X supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G VoLTE for faster data speeds and high-definition voice calls. Other connectivity options are GPS, A-GPS, 3.5mm audio port, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.0, and micro USB 2.0 port.
The Xolo Era 2X is priced at $98.04 (around Rs. 6666) for a 2GB RAM variant and at $110.30 (approximately Rs. 7499) for a 3GB RAM variant. It comes in latte gold and dark gunmetal color.
