LG is expected to release its much-awaited LG G5 flagship smartphone on Feb. 21. LG G5 is a successor to LG G4 smartphone and is expected to be a total upgrade over its predecessor.

Although LG did not officially divulged any specs or make of its G5 edition, many in the market have already begun predicting what LG's new smartphone will look like.

Ecumenical News brings reports straight from an eye-witness who has cited G5 in action. It mentions that LG G5 shall have a modular design. It shall have a piece at the bottom that can be slid out while the battery underneath can be detached. This is good news for many potential users since many expensive smartphones these days do not provide a removable battery. So the option of replacing a dead or drained battery with a fully charged one gets eliminated. One has to rely on an external charger in these cases.

Digital Trends reported that LG G5 could be borrowing features from both LG V10 and LG G4, which may include a second screen "ticker" display from V10 meant for weather, time, date updates.

Some sources predicts that LG G5 shall sport an all-metal design, knock code improvements, lesser bloat, a better battery life (most likely with a capacity of 4000mAh) and a vivid resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels.

Other speculation around LG G5 revolves around its screen. Rumors suggest that the screen size may be 5.5-inch 4K display screen, much like the LG G4 with a slightly shorter 5.3-inch screen, while GSM Arena reported that LG G5 is likely to sport a 5.6-inch display with Gorilla Glass 4.

Reports also suggest that LG G5 will likely equipped with killer specs such Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset, 4GB of RAM and 64 GB internal storage that could be expanded via microSD card slot.

Some other rumors speculate that the smartphone will boast a 20 MP front camera, wireless charging technology, octa-core processor and six color options, including gold and pink.
