The Wileyfox Swift 2X smartphone has been released in the UK.
The Wileyfox Swift 2X is the latest smartphone from UK-based smartphone maker Wileyfox. It is the successor to the Wileyfox Swift 2, which was launched last year. The device has a 5.2-inch full high-definition display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection from minor falls and scratches.
The Wileyfox Swift 2X is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 64-bit chipset (4 x 1.2 GHz Cortex A53 + 4 x 1.5 GHz Cortex A53) coupled with the Adreno 505 graphics processing unit laid on top. It comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to a maximum of 64GB via a microSD card.
The Wileyfox Swift 2X features a 16-megapixel camera at the back with dual LED flash and Samsung 3L8 ISOCELL sensor with an aperture of f/2.0, phase detection autofocus, and capable of 1080p video recording. It also comes with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. It is packed with a 3010 mAh battery with Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0 on board.
The Wileyfox Swift 2X runs on Cyanogen OS v13.1 based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system out of the box. It is equipped with a fingerprint scanner to enhance the security levels and provide protection. It measures 144 × 72.2 × 8.8 mm in dimension with a weight of 155 grams.
The Wileyfox Swift 2X is a dual SIM device that supports one micro SIM card with a secondary hybrid slot that supports nano-SIM. Other connectivity options include 4G LTE, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, and USB Type-C port.
The Wileyfox Swift 2X is priced at $268 (219.99 GBP) but is now limited to the UK.
