The Vivo V5 Plus smartphone is now available for pre-order in Malaysia ahead of its official release.
The Vivo V5 Plus will have a 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, a pixel density of 401 ppi, 16M colors, and a 71.8 percent screen-to-body ratio. It will be protected by an unspecified version of Corning Gorilla Glass with FunTouch OS on board.
The Vivo V5 Plus will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625 chipset clocked at a speed of 2.0 GHz and coupled with Adreno 506 graphics processing unit. It will run on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system out of the box.
The Vivo V5 Plus will come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in memory that can be extended up to a maximum of 256GB with the use of dual microSD card slot. It will be packed with a 3160 mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery that supports fast battery charging.
The Vivo V5 Plus will feature a 16-megapixel camera at the back with LED flash and autofocus and could record 1080p videos at 30 frames per second. It will also come with dual front-facing cameras with 20-megapixel and 8-megapixel sensors with an aperture of f/2.0. Other camera features include panorama, high-definition resolution, touch focus, geotagging, and face detection.
The Vivo V5 Plus is a dual SIM smartphone. It has sensors such as fingerprint scanner, proximity sensor, accelerometer, and compass. Other connectivity options are USB OTG (on-the-go), WLAN, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth, FM radio, and micro USB 2.0 port.
The Vivo V5 Plus has been listed on the website of the Malaysian retailer DirectD for the price of $400 (RM 1799) and will on for sale on Jan. 21. It will be available in gray and gold color.
