Nokia's big comeback will happen on January 19 with its upcoming flagship device called Nokia 6. The device will be initially released in China. Days ahead of its release, millions of subscribers have registered for the smartphone.
There were speculations that the smartphone will be exclusively available in China. However, recent leaks indicate that the Nokia 6 will make an appearance at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Spain.
HMD Global has the rights to sell the Nokia 6, and it is available for $250. The reservations for the unit in China costs CNY 66 ($9). This guarantees that a customer will be among the first to get the device. Nokia failed to make a comeback with its Windows-based phones, so this time the company has settled for an Android OS - possibly a Nougat version.
The Nokia 6 device has got many tech enthusiasts excited as it will have features on par with high-end devices from Apple and Samsung, but it will have a lower price. The device is likely to come with a dual SIM and support for LTE network capabilities.
The Nokia 6 will sport a 5.5-inch LED screen protected with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The device will come with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 430 and an Octa-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 with Adreno 505 GPU. It will have 64GB of internal memory capacity and 4GB of RAM. The device will come with a memory card slot.
The Nokia 6 will have a 16 megapixels dual tone flash with f/2.0 and phase detection autofocus. The front camera will be 8 megapixels with f/2.0, running at 1080p for video calls. It will also have a fingerprint scanner and a 3000 mAh battery.
