‘Resident Evil 7: Biohazard’ Will not be Available on Nintendo Switch

Only days left before the official release of the highly anticipated horror game of the year, "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard," Nintendo released a statement about the game's availability for their soon to be launch gaming platform, Switch. "Resident Evil 7" is already available on all mainstream gaming devices such as the  PS4, Xbox One, and PC, but it doesn't look like the game will be present for Nintendo Switch's lineup.

RE7 Producer: 'No Plans Regarding Resident Evil On Switch'

In an interview with the game producer Masachika Kawata by Express Online, Kawata expressed the company's interest in the game. However, he made it clear that the company presently don't have any plans with regards to "Resident Evil Biohazard." The statement has frowned everyone especially the Nintendo Switch fans who are eagerly waiting to play the horror game with the new mobile platform.

"I'm looking forward to the possibilities of the system itself, but we have no plans at the moment regarding Resident Evil on Switch," Kawata said.

Capcom and Nintendo have a record of being partners in the industry for years, thus people can still assume future plans for "Resident Evil" on Switch. It is also possible in the part of Capcom to be cautious in dealing with Nintendo after the sales disappointment of Wii U. Switch being a new console should be backed with popular games to boost its sales and promotions.

"Resident Evil 7 Biohazard" Release Date And Storyline

"Resident Evil 7" is scheduled to be released on January 24 to PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The game's story was based on the events that happened on "Resident Evil 6." The environment takes place in a plantation mansion set in the modern-day fictional city of Dulvey, Louisiana. The search of the protagonist named Ethan Winter's missing wife led him to the horror mansion, which is the home of the Baker family.
