"Tekken 7" is months away from launch date and the game's intriguing characters still constantly build hype to the game prior to its release.
The fan favorite fighting game has been running for over two decades. "Tekken" vastly improves on its predecessor in almost every entry it releases. One of the biggest changes the series made is its switch to the Unreal Engine 4. This Engine switch made the game a lot more visually impressive than ever before.
The game developers are given more freedom with less graphical limitations. With that said, this means the details on the "Tekken 7" characters are also stepped up a notch. While "Tekken 7" benefited from UE4 tremendously, the developers mentioned that the engine switch was also the game's biggest challenge.
The devil is in the details
In a report from IGN, Bandai Namco developers shared the most interesting characters to re-create in "Tekken 7." The game's developers revealed Gigas to be the most "interesting" character to design.
This was due to the complexity of Gigas' design as well as his muscular and powerful nature. Despite "Tekken 7" having such a diverse roster, Gigas stands out by being "quite unique" from the rest.
However, it's not just the game's new characters that are considered as visually impressive. Longtime "Tekken" character Kuma is the one that the developers consider as the most "satisfying" to re-create.
Kuma had a major graphical overhaul in "Tekken 7", specially when it comes to his fur. Developers explained that the UE4 really helped in bringing Kuma's impressive fur detail to life.
More intriguing characters are abound
The character roster in "Tekken 7" is massive enough as it is, but there's still room for more to come. In fact, a trailer teasing a new character was recently revealed.
Sleepy vampire Eliza will be joining the long list of "Tekken 7" characters, reports TrueAchievements. Eliza first appeared on the online game "Tekken Revolution" and she has been a stand-out character ever since.
Sporting a devious set of horns and a thirst for battle, Eliza will surely be a force to be reckoned with. On top of all that, Eliza brings a unique charm and personality to the already quirky set of "Tekken 7" characters. "Tekken 7" is set to release on PS4, Xbox One and PC by June 2, 2017.
