The upcoming AMD GPU has been making headlines. It is expected to compete against the NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti. Like the GTX 1080, AMD Vega 10 could also deserve the number one spot.
AMD will release the new cards at a special event in May, and it would be AMD's first time to unveil a graphics card at Computex.
AMD Vega 10 GPU is an upcoming graphics silicon card that the Radeon-red team is developing. The team has indicated that the card would be released early in 2017. The Radeon-red team has assured fans that the graphics card can challenge the high-end NVIDIA GPU stack.
The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is expected to be released soon as well. The device could be unveiled at the PAX East event, which is slated for March.
The AMD Vega 10 can handle memory traffic more proficiently, and it has significantly cut back memory distributions. AMD has shown a demo with two examples which present a High Bandwidth Cache Controller that drops wasteful memory allocations by about 50 percent. The AMD Vega 10 is equipped with technology which can turn 8 GB of RAM to 16 GB and comes with several other high-end specs and features.
Meanwhile, the NVIDIA GeForce GTC 1080 is slated to be released with a major gaming system boost. The GeForce GTX 1080 Ti boasts of 12 billion transistors that is a lot higher than the GTX 1080's 7.2 billion. It is also expected to come with 4.8 GB of RAM and will likely be priced at $650 to $1,200.
