"Metal Gear Online," the highly anticipated online component of the game, has finally left beta version and is now currently available on Steam on a full launch on the PC.

The developer has used the beta run to make some adjustments based on feedback, and now the team feels ready to release it to players.  The good thing about this is that, as with most games nowadays, improvement does not stop at launch.

"Just like the previous released console versions of MGO, we'll be integrating new updates to the game to improve the experience and add content," said Konami over at the official Steam Community website.

The promise of additional content will be good. A couple of fans have already reacted to the news of the beta's conclusion. Some of the features that fans have already aired include dedicated servers, text chat and mute for voice chat. Additional characters to "Metal Gear Online" may also expand the players' experience of the game overall.

In line with the launch, Konami is inviting players to check out the full launch of the title on Windows PC early. As an incentive, players who are want to check "Metal Gear Online" should do so early to get a bonus.

Players need to get into at least one match between now and Jan. 26. Once this happens, the players will get a reward of 3,000 Gear Points, which can be used to customize the character's gear style.

Previously, developer Konami had suspended the beta due to exploits being used. It seemed that there are some "Metal Gear Online" had discovered an exploit that allowed getting MB coins for free, Ubergizmo reported.

MB coins are the premium currency as it can be bought using real-world money. As such, this is a valuable currency to the developer, since it can be another source of earning. Microtransactions have been a developing feature in games, and apart from DLC expansions, this is one of the ways by which developers can earn more in a game.

With the release of the beta version onto the full game on Steam, players can assume that the exploit has already been fixed.
