As the Mobile World Congress gets near, quite a number of new smartphones and tablets surface from benchmarks all over the internet. Although yet unannounced, it would appear that Lenovo would release two Tab3 8 Plus variants. A Wi-Fi-only variant (TB-8703F) and the other with 4G LTE capability (TB-8703X).
Just a couple of days ago, a listing from Geekbench under the model of TB-9703F by LENOVO has surfaced and now a full list of specifications has appeared on an Italian website, Notebook Italia.
The design will be somewhat similar to its predecessor, the Lenovo Tab3 7 but will have a bigger screen size and more powerful specifications. The Lenovo Tab3 8 Plus will feature an 8-inches screen size with 1,920 x 1,200 resolution display. It would be paired with Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, an 8-megapixels main camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixels front shooter.
The Tab3 8 Plus will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset clocked at 2.0GHz with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD card up to 128GB. It would run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and will sit on a 4250 mAh battery with a microUSB 2.0 port for charging.
The device is rumored to be IP52 certified, making it water and dust resistant. Other specifications feature a Wi-Fi 802.11ac connectivity, Bluetooth 4.0 capability, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS and such.
According to the official rendered images, the Lenovo Tab3 8 Plus will be available in two different colors- silver and blue. No information regarding the actual release date and prices but we can expect an announcement from the upcoming Mobile World Congress this month and according to some reports, it will be no higher than $200 for this medium-low-end tablet.
