The Honor 8 Lite smartphone has made its debut in Finland.
The Honor 8 Lite is the latest device from the Chinese smartphone company Honor, which is the sub-brand of Huawei. It looks similar to the Honor 8 smartphone but lacks dual rear cameras.
The Honor 8 Lite has a 5.2-inch full high-definition LTPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a 2.5D glass laid on front and back, similar to the Honor 8. It is powered by an octa-core Kirin 655 chipset.
The Honor 8 Lite comes with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage that can be further extended up to a maximum of 128GB using the microSD card slot. It runs on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat based EMUI 5.0 operating system out of the box.
The Honor 8 Lite features only a single 12-megapixel camera at the back with autofocus, an aperture of f/2.2, and a LED flash. It also comes with an 8-megapixel selfie camera on the front with 77-degree wide-angle lens.
The Honor 8 Lite is packed with a 3000 mAh non-removable battery that can last more than a day of regular usage. It is equipped with the circular fingerprint scanner located on the rear. It measures 137.2 x 72.94 x 7.6 mm in dimension with a weight of 147 grams.
The Honor 8 Lite comes in blue, black, white, and gold color. However, only the white and black colored variants will be available initially. The gold and blue colors will become available in the coming weeks.
The Honor 8 Lite has been unveiled in Finland for $290 (around Rs. 19,600 or EUR 269). It is now available for pre-order. Sales of the device would start on Feb. 17.
