The LG G6 would come with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 821. Those interested in LG's latest smartphone need to wait until April 7. However, pre-orders for the device will start on March 9.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 is fitted in the Samsung Galaxy S8 and performs 27 percent faster while using 47 percent less on battery. According to The Next Web, it also offers 20 percent fast charging and takes 35 percent less space.
There are speculations that LG G6 would go head-on in the market against the Samsung Galaxy. The G6 is still expected to arrive earlier than the Samsung Galaxy S8. CNet reported that the G6 could feature Google Assistant (AI software), Google Daydream support and a Water-resistant design (IP68).
The LG G6 is expected to be more conventional than the G5. LG is also hoping that G6 will win back it's customers as the company has learned a lot from what happened with the G5.
The specs of the Samsung Galaxy S8 are more powerful than G6. Unlike the S8, which features 5.8 and 6.2-inch AMOLED curved display, the G6 will come with a 5.7-inch flat LCD screen.
The G6 is powered by Snapdragon 821, which is inferior to the S8's Snapdragon 835. It is unclear how both devices will compare in terms of pricing. The G6 is likely to cost fractionally less than the S8.
