To celebrate the recent launch of Fire Emblem Heroes, Nintendo is handing out 2,222 free coins to players of the Mario auto-runner. All gamers have to do to claim them is log in. There are no strings attached, as you do not need to download Fire Emblem Heroes or pay $10 to unlock all the "Super Mario Run" courses to get the gift.
According to Gamespot "Super Mario Run" recently added an easy mode and a golden Goomba event that runs until February 20. "Super Mario Run" has been downloaded more than 78 million times. Around five percent of players have paid the $10 to unlock all the courses. That means around four million have done so, bringing in about $40 million in revenue.
With the success of "Super Mario Run," it's no surprise to see Nintendo churning out another mobile game for Nintendo fans. Nintendo is offering 2,222 free coins in "Super Mario Run" for any iOS gamers that download Fire Emblem Heroes.
If Nintendo keeps dealing out freebies like this, it's likely that the success of the "Super Mario" title will continue.
