Having "Final Fantasy XV" on PC might be a definite challenge. But director Hajime Tabata is convinced that making a PC port for the latest Final Fantasy installment will be worth it. Not only will PC players enjoy FFXV, they will also have custom quests to best, exclusive features to enjoy, mod support, and more.
More in store for 'Final Fantasy XV'
Late last week, Hajime Tabata talked about the future of "Final Fantasy XV," according to Gematsu. Beside talking about fan satisfaction and digital sales, DLC plans were hinted. Tabata also provided his thoughts about the possibility of virtual reality content for FFXV. But the biggest announcement of all is that a PC port will be made available for "Final Fantasy XV."
Those who are familiar with Square Enix know that PC ports are not something that the company focuses on. But as it is, PC gaming has been improving for the last couple of years with more powerful laptops and similar computing machines. It has been also noted that in recent years, AAA game developers have been publishing their titles not just on consoles but even on Windows platform. On the other hand, Windows Report noted that most console-to-PC games are badly optimized and might pose a similar problem for "Final Fantasy XV."
'Final Fantasy XV' exclusive features, mod support and more
During the interview, Tabata gave fans much to look forward to in "Final Fantasy XV" with DLC plans to have new quests and playable areas. First on their list would be the City of Insomnia, which was the main setting in the movie, Kingslave. The remaking of the playable areas will also give way to future expansions. However, this plan might take Square Enix at least a year to do. On a side note, Tabata assured fans that FFXV would have mod support and various extra features for gamers to enjoy once it becomes available on PC. Patches to increase travel loading time and upgrading cars in "Final Fantasy XV" are Tabata's primary objectives at the moment.
