It is a tough call to choose between recently launched GPUs as they all set to revolutionize the world of PC gaming. There are three primary contenders when it comes in choosing the right PC gaming GPU - Nvidia's GTX Titan X, Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti and AMD Radeon R9 Fury X.
Let's take a look on what these GPUs can offer to gaming enthusiasts.
Nvidia's GTX Titan X is bespoken and dubbed by many as the fastest single GPU capable of gaming at 4K resolution, while Nvidia GeForce 980 Ti heralded to deliver powerful 4K and virtual reality experience at the same time. Meanwhile, AMD Radeon R9 Fury X is highly commended for making virtual reality comfortable and realistic.
Nvidia GTX Titan X is priced at $1000. Nvidia GTX Titan X, according to TechFrag, provides an accurate and sharper texture application, even while playing demanding games, as it comes with 12 GB VRAM and a 384-bit memory. However, it is necessary that your system has a decent cooling solution before exerting GPU with Nvidia GTX Titan X.
Meanwhile, Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti may be priced $350, lesser than Nvidia GTX Titan X, but it provides same GM200 GPU present in Nvidia GTX Titan X (only the shader count is lesser when compared to Nvidia GTX Titan X). It is said that there is only a 5 to 10 FPS difference between the Nvidia GTX Titan X and Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti. The Nvidia GeForce 980 Ti comes with 6GB VRAM, 1000 MHz base clock and 384-bit memory.
Owing to its Maxwell architecture, Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti offers higher power efficiency, low power draw, low fan noise and higher performance. Numerous gamers recommends Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti for its smooth frame rate, but cautions that it may be slightly slower than Nvidia GTX Titan X and may not offer as many custom designs.
AMD Radeon's R9 Fury X, on the other hand, offers a mighty package for only $650. Sapphire Tech highly recommends AMD Radeon R9 Fury X for its high bandwidth memory, solid sound technology, graphics quality, processing speed, and refers to it as the "world's first total solution GPU." AMD Radeon R9 Fury X has over 4000 stream processors, 1050 Mhzfrequency, 512GB/s memory and 256 TMU. It is fast, ideal for 4k gaming and constitutes AMD's fitting response to Nvidia.
