The competition on who has the best console games is escalating after Xbox's Phil Spencer revealed, there will be more first party games for the Xbox One console this 2017. In a twitter response to a fan who inquired about exclusive games, Spencer replied "I feel very good about this year. Should have more 1P games than last year, great diversity + launching new IP. Good year."
Interestingly, after Spencer also mentioned the new IP, fans were quick to conclude it is for the game "Sea of Thieves." Rare's new pirate game was later announced by Phil Spencer, confirming that the new IP is also for the new game.
