How about living somewhere far away from the Earth? Humans may have the chance to live on Mars as the UAE is planning to build a city in the so-called Red Planet.
While many claim that life may thrive in the fourth planet from the sun, there is no proof of this yet. However, it appears that the Middle East country is keen to prove that even human beings can survive there.
Considering the fact that the United Arab Emirates has already constructed world-famous cities in the deserts of Dubai, building a city on Mars may be possibile.
This ambitious plan was reportedly revealed by no other than UAE's prime minister. He took to Twitter to divulge this exciting vision, which is set to be completed in 100 years.
"The project, to be named 'Mars 2117,' integrates a vision to create a mini-city and community on Mars involving international cooperation," Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum tweeted.
He referred to the project as "a seed we are sowing today to reap the fruit of new generations led by a passion for science and advancing human knowledge."
He further disclosed that "Mars 2117 includes a major space sciences focus in our universities. We're building a space pioneering passion among our young people."
The UAE may initially look into finding ways to travel to and fro between Mars and the Earth. This means that an ultra modern mode of transportation could be available in the coming years.
In addition, studies on what food could be brought and type of shelter to be built there must be underway as well in line with UAE's vision to develop a city on Mars.
