The upcoming release of the Nintendo Switch is also highlighted by the inclusion of "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" game. But, a recent announcement that game will also have a paid DLC Pass raised concerns on players.
Nintendo on the other hand has explained their side on the $20 DLC Pass; citing the continual development of the game as a reason to charge the extra content.
In an interview with Nintendo's Bill Trinen he explained, the developer is not only making the game for the purpose of having one. The time and talent poured in "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" relates every detail from the history of the game to its current status.
Additionally, for such a beautiful game, Nintendo is wary about putting it to waste without adding more exploration of Hyrule. It's such an enticing universe to limit it to just one experience. Featured on the Gamespot, Trinen added that the experience will be able to let players enjoy the game for an extended time.
Apparently, "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" DLC Pass will not arrive few days after its release on the Nintendo Switch. Trinen said, the DLC Pass will arrive long after the game is exhausted by the players, an attempt to keep the excitement going after players pay for the game.
In his interview, he said, "If you're a Zelda fan buying Nintendo Switch at launch and really you're buying it for Zelda, I mean how happy are you to know that hey, I'm going to be able to play more Zelda in this world again later this year."
