The celebration of the official Pokemon Day will not start until February 27, but players can start hunting for the special Pikachu as early as February 26 until March 6. According to the latest news, the special Pikachu character from the Pokemon Go will wear a party hat that makes it different from the rest of the Pikachus. The special Pikachu character will remain forever on the player's collection.

In a special statement released by Niantic featured on the Attack of the Fanboy it said, "The Pikachu you catch during that time will keep its party hat forever, so be sure to look for this special Pikachu during its short time in the wild." Starting next week, make sure to login to the Pokemon Go game and catch the special Pikachu. Apparently, its appearance is considered a rare collection; something that players can't pass on.

While the event on the Pokemon Sun and Moon remains undetermined, the Pokemon Go style of releasing a rare Pikachu is a tradition that is also present during the Christmas season. A Santa hat wearing Pikachu was featured during the Christmas season; a rare collection that hardcore Pokemon Go players may have at this moment.

In the official Pokemon Go website, it stated that the rare Pikachu in the Pokemon Go will start appearing February 26 at 1:00 p.m. PST to March 6 at 1:00 p.m. PST. Any player who wishes to collect the rare Pikachu may want to play Pokemon Go during the days and time stated.
