"ARK: Survival Evolved" v255 update just arrived, bringing lots of new items and dinos to enjoy the game more with. The patch is now live, which means players can now have fun taming the new dinosaurs and building new structures.
According to iDigitalTimes, four new dinos have arrived in "ARK." Leading the pack is the carnivorous swimmer Electrophorus, which is useful in trying to tame larger aquatic creatures. Belonging also to the ocean is Ammonite that's defended by nearby sea creatures, but it's worth to hunt for its shell and bile.
On land, there is Microraptor, a small yet quick carnivore that can be used to take down riders. If looking for a thrill, players can hunt down the more powerful Thylacoleo that resembles a bear. It is quite the climber and players can ride it, making it useful for ambushes.
The "ARK: Survival Evolved" update also features the new structures Tek Shield Generator, Tek Tileset and Tek Doors. New items include four new hairstyles and four new facial hair options, which can be unlocked by getting the Explorer Notes.
A new per-Tribe Dino Limit option has also been added. The taming cap has been increased to 400 on official PvE servers; tribes that are above the limit will not lose their tames, though.
While the update certainly adds to the fun of "ARK: Survival Evolved," more updates are slated to arrive. The update v256 will be launched on March 29, iTechPost reported, and will bring an entirely new system.
The next "ARK: Survival Evolved" update will be focused on the Aquatic and Amphibious Creature Breeding System, which the fans will know more about in the coming weeks. Even so, some new Tek structures and most likely new dinos are expected as well.
The "ARK: Survival Evolved" v255 update is currently available on PC only, but the game is also available to play on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
