Nokia is making sure, it's not lagging when it comes to its renewed technology. At the upcoming MWC 2017, the brand vows to kickstart it with the latest network technology; the all new 5G product. 5G First as Nokia calls it is a feature on the brand's Airscale cloud RAN and AirScale massive MIMO adaptive antennas. Take note that the 5G First will work in frequency bands mainly 3.5GHz, 4.5GHz, 28GHz and 39GHz.

Nokia has kept the project a secret until CEO Rajeev Suri announced the new endeavor at the WMC 2017 in Barcelona. In his statement he said "I believe 4G will coexist with 5G for a very long time. 5G is going to be so much about densification... I don't people fully understand there's a lot of runway for 4G to happen."

Meanwhile, he also said that part of the new project will significantly combine US and India network space during the process. "Carrier M&A will heat up dramatically in the USA and India... the genie is pretty much out of the better and it will be hard to put it back in," he added.

Meanwhile, the revolutionary 5G First will also spearhead giant online store's capacity with a faster and more reliable network connection. This new innovation from Nokia will all be unveiled at the WMC 2017.

Meanwhile, Nokia in 2014 sold its rights to manufacture handsets under its own brand. This right has been nonetheless sold to Microsoft. However, in 2016 Nokia strike a deal with HMD Global, allowing it to manufacture its own handset under its known label Nokia. The contract deal is set to 10 years.

Suri defended Nokia's demise from the business saying, it has been a hard year for telecoms, but Nokia chose to subtly tread the decline. For more news and update about Nokia's 5G First, read us here on the Telegiz.
