"Death Stranding" will be an open-world action game that will give players a new type of profoundness and intuitiveness. This is according to acclaimed game producer Hideo Kojima who discussed more about the game in an interview at RTX Sydney early this month.
The" Metal Gear Solid" franchise creator did not reveal much about the gameplay of "Death Stranding". But he revealed enough information that would make his fans get more excited for the game.
He describes that it will be an action game, open world game and will give players more freedom. Players will have a freedom to do what they want to do including getting on vehicles and other things. If one wants to take the role of a fighter or the opposite of that, the game will still have to offer alternative options in playing.
"Death Stranding" will also offer players a kind of "strands" idea. He further explained that idea saying, "I wanted to go a little deeper beyond that with something that doesn't focus on a weapon like a gun and that's what has a connection to the strand concept."
He is referring to his thirty one years of experience in the gaming industry where a typical game would let a player armed with a gun and take against an enemy. Even in a multiplayer mode, the same principle happens.
Players would join other players and play against other players and fight in a competitive environment. With Kojima's latest game, he said it will be unique "different versus what most people expect from an online game."
It is different from typical games that has campaign mode and after players are done with it, the same game structure will take them to the online mode. "This game is not that kind of structure," he said.
"Death Stranding" has no release date yet but it is rumored to come out next year. It is coming to PS4 and rumors also say it may also come to PC.
