The OnePlus 3 was launched in June last year. The rumor mill is now talking about the alleged specifications of its successor that is dubbed as OnePlus 5. Its alleged key specs have surfaced.
Since "4" is considered as bad omen in China, OnePlus may not launch its 2017 flagship has OnePlus 4. Rumors are rife that it will be skipping number 4 to launch it as OnePlus 5. According to KoreaPortal, the device will be powered by Snapdragon 830. Since Qualcomm has not unveiled any chipset by that moniker, speculations suggest that its flagship chipset, Snapdragon 835 will be powering the OnePlus 5.
Like the Galaxy S7, the OnePlus 5 is rumored to come with a dual-edge curved display. The chipset of the smartphone is expected to be coupled with 6 GB of RAM. However, other sources claim it may house 8 GB of RAM. The OnePlus 3 successor is expected in two storage models of 64 GB and 128 GB. It is expected to support up to 256 GB of microSD card, Gizmo China reported.
The OnePlus 5 is expected to feature a 23-megapixel snapper on its rear side. It is expected to remain the same 16-meapixel front-facing snapper that is available on OnePlus 3T. Concept renders of OnePlus 5 created by Concept Creators state that it would be coming with a dual camera on its rear side and a selfie shooter of 8-megapixel.
The OnePlus 5 will arrive preloaded with Android 7.0 Nougat OS. Like most of the recent flagships, the 2017 OnePlus flagshi is also rumored to come with a USB Type-C port. The flagship is rumored to be powered by a 4,000 mAh battery that will be coupled with Dash Charge fast charging feature.
