Gionee participated in the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017, unveiling its A1 and A1 plus smartphones along with other tech giants like Huawei, Lenovo, Nokia, and LG. The Chinese smartphone maker aims to win the public with its "Super Selfie, Super Battery" tagline.
The A1 device sports a 13-megapixel front camera and 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF). Selfie enthusiasts can store tons of photos and videos in its 64GB expandable internal storage. It has 4GB of RAM and comes with the MediaTek Helio P10 processor as well as a 5.5 inch full HD display.
The A1 also boasts of a 4010 mAh battery that supports fast charging while its connectivity options include LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi, USB OTG, GPS, and a dual-sim support.
The bigger Gionee variant A1 Plus comes with a 6-inch full HD display. It is perfect for selfies with its 20-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture and a feature that allows users to put Bokeh on photos. The 4-cell technology also promises improved image quality even in low light conditions. A 13-megapixel rear camera with 5-megapixel sensors is also installed in the handset.
It also has 4GB of RAM and works with the MediaTek Helio P25 processor. It also has 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded with a microSD card up to 256GB. It has a bigger battery capacity at 4550 mAh and supports a dual-chip system for superfast charging that rates up to 18 watts.
Both the A1 and A1 Plus smartphones run on Amigo OS based on the Android 7.0 Nougat software. They also feature a fingerprint sensor that responds in just 0.2 seconds.
The Gionee A1 and A1 Plus smartphone will arrive on the market in March and April, respectively.
